SOCIAL (2026)
Fabric, Chicken wire, wood, African maskThis historical journey extends into the present, where I depict, through dialogue and intrapersonal analysis, my reality as an individual living in the diaspora, carrying what remains of its culture and the generational responsibility to correct past mistakes and elevate the country. This dialogue stems from the Angolan social mindset: ‘If you do not send your children abroad, they will have no chance anywhere, and their future is doomed’. This mentality is developed through various layers of colonialism in Angola, where racism and colourism play a significant part.
